Brockweir - installation of reclaimed exotic hardwood parquet for private client
The brief
was to replace a sitting room carpet with reclaimed, exotic hardwood parquet
flooring. The original floor was removed before a new spruce wood sub-floor
was installed. The parquet was originally from Mozambique but being
reclaimed required no new wood to be cut down. We fitted it at a 45 degree
slant with double block border and a maple finger strip tramline. The
parquet was then cut, polished and sealed with Saicos, a quality German Hard
Wax Oil. Stunning.

Bristol - entire house installation with replacement of pine floorboards to solid oak
In this instance, we specified an engineered oak 180mm wide and 20mm thick. Engineered oak flooring was used in order to minimise timber movement over the soil based subfloor. The oak boards were then oiled with a UV oil.
